La Bise or ‘To Kiss' in French, reflects a meeting and a gesture that is simple but poignant. A French boyfriend once said to me, “In my culture, it is an honour to be offered someone's cheek to kiss in greeting."
La Bise wines are sourced from the Adelaide Hills where we have a beautiful vineyard in the subregion of Kersbrook. Surrounded by pine trees and water catchment areas that are locally know as 'chain of ponds'.

La Bise Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris
Adelaide Hills Pinot Gris from Kersbrook, vineyard of Caj Amadio.
Brosche pear and Nectarine fruits form the character of this Pinot Gris. An easy drinking wine perfect for summer. The joy of Pinot Gris is the mid palate texture and richness. We work this in the winery by allowing the juice to stay on full solids for a week before we start the ferment, in doing this we draw out as much goodness and flavour from
the juice as grapes that we can. -
La Bise Adelaide Hills Chardonnay
La Bise Chardonnay comes from two select vineyards within the higher altitude areas of the Adelaide Hills in the sub regions of Oakbank & Lobethal. We want the fruit flavours to shine through so the wine is not oak dominated, rather fruit first with some complimentary oak flavours. 50% new French 225L & 50% 500L – 8 months in oak.
Nectarine, peach and blood orange fruit flavours backed up with almond, oatmeal and hazelnut derived from the French oak barriques. A line of lime tanginess and minerality is evident through the palate.
